Learning
Disabilities: A Handbook for Parents

Joy Abrams
has taught kindergarden, first grade and the learning disabled.
She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a sorority of outstanding
educators throughout the world.
Based
on her experiences helping the learning disabled through yoga
she wrote the book "Let's Do Yoga", published by
Holt Rinehart and Winston. Her handbook on learning disabilities
is an outgrowth of her experience with the learning disabled.
It is her belief that parents can play a dominant role in
helping their children with this challenging condition. Also,
parents need to develop a command of the tools, support and
insight available in order to help their children. Once parents
master the tools, much progress can be made. This workbook
provides the way to get the job done and shows parents the
direction and way to help their children meet the challenge
and develop a way to live successfully with their challenges.
This handbook
outlines activities and therapies that parents can use to
help their "Learning Different" children.
