Books and Feng Shui

If you are an avid reader and love the adventure and informative nature of books, you will want to have them displayed. The question that is so often asked is where should I place all of my books?

The place to put them is on the left side of your entrance to your room as you stand at your door’s entrance. That is the wisdom area of your room. What better place to store your books then in the area of wisdom! That is the area that rewards you for all of life’s travails with the gift of wisdom.

The things that you surround yourself with, and that especially mean books have an effect on the way that you feel. So check out some of those old books that you have and if the subject matter was particularly depressing to you, you might consider tossing them or donating them to a charity. Also, do look to see if any of your old books are moldy. If they are moldy make sure that you toss them out as well as they no longer can serve you in that condition and you must surround yourself with items that are supportive to you.

Make sure that you dust your books often, as they are old friends that have served you well with their information and need to be cared for and kept clean. . Also, if you are considering storing books under your bed in the bedroom think twice about that. Doing that will have the tendency to bring you down and that is something that you want to avoid.

Surrounding yourself with uplifting books and books that are depicting life’s adventures can have a wonderful effect on you and help you to feel more positive about the new year that is ahead of you.
